Monastery of Anba Bishoy is situated in the eastern side of wadi El-Natron, founded by Al Anba Bishoy who was born in the Egyptian Nile Delta, It consists of five churches, the main one of which is the Church of Bishop Bishoy, and there is a palace that is reached via a bridge.
There is also a deep well, and it is certain that this monastery is a major project for His Holiness Pope Shenouda III, and many buildings were constructed outside the old monastery.
