Day 2Explore the Wonders of Giza

You will have breakfast at the hotel in Cairo, then your guide will accompany you to visit:

The Pyramids of Giza Complex

The Giza Plateau seems huge and you have to take a lot of time to see everything, because the time passes incredibly fast at the pyramids, the boat museum with the solar boat of Cheops, the mastabas and the great Sphinx.

The Great Pyramid

Contrary to popular belief, only the Great Pyramid of Cheops, not the three Great Pyramids, is on the list of the seven wonders of the ancient world. The pyramid was surrounded by other interesting buildings, mainly temples.

The Incredible Sphinx

In a depression to the south of the Pyramid of Kefren, there is a huge stone creature representing a pharaoh's head with the body of a lion. The Sphinx is the first real monumental structure in Egypt.

The Valley Temple

This temple was built next to the Sphinx and is connected to a paved processional road with its pyramid on the Giza plateau.

You will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant with the view of Pyramids or Nile in Cairo and then we will visit:

The Step Pyramid of Saqqara

The Zoser Tomb Complex includes much more than the Step Pyramid of Zoser. The 14 false doors indicate the entrance to the Complex but the only real entrance is in the southwest of the Complex.

The City of Memphis

In the temple of Ptah at Memphis, the ruins of an embalming house were discovered where bulls (sacred bulls of Apis) were mummified and then buried at Saqqara.

After finishing the tour, we will return to the hotel in Cairo.

Day 3Flight To Aswan From Cairo

You will enjoy breakfast at the hotel, then you will leave the hotel with your guide to the airport for your flight to Aswan. Upon arrival, we will visit:

The High Dam of Aswan

During the late thirties of the last century, some Egyptian experts presented a study on the possibility of building a large dam in the south of Egypt to protect the banks of the Nile and the delta from annual flooding, so they built the High Dam.

The Unfinished Obelisk

Researchers are divided: some say that the cracks in the granite block led to the abandonment of the Unfinished Obelisk, while others say that this was not enough, and the reason for the abandonment lies in the beliefs of the ancient Egyptians.

We go to the 5 star cruise ship for lunch and accommodation before ending the third day of your 10 days Egypt Christmas tour by witnessing the site of the mythology of Isis and Osiris:

The Temple of Philae

The remains of the building of Nectanebo I in the Temple of Philae, which were reconstructed in the southwest of Agilkia Island, represent the oldest complex in Philae. This building has 14 columns decorated with depictions of Hathor.

Return to the cruise ship for dinner, cruise to Kom Ombo and overnight on board.

Day 4Kom Ombo Temple

After breakfast, your guide will accompany you to visit:

The Temple of Kom Ombo

Two winged sun discs with Uraeus snakes can be seen on the roof of the Kom Ombo Temple below the shaft, each symbolising the two entrances to the interior of the double temple.

We will return to the cruise ship to enjoy lunch and in the evening, you will have dinner while sailing to Edfu.

Day 5Edfu Temple and Luxor city

After breakfast, your guide will accompany you for a visit:

The Temple of Edfu

The ceiling of the great pillared hall of the Temple of Edfu is supported by 12 columns. There are numerous reliefs on the walls, including many depicting the founding ceremony of the temple.

The Temple of Karnak

The White Chapel in the Karnak Complex was a boat shrine and therefore served as a chapel for the barge of the gods at various festivities as did the Red Chapel and the Alabaster Chapel.

At the end of the tour, we will return to the cruise ship for dinner, sail to Luxor, and overnight.

Day 6Discover Luxor

In the morning, after enjoying breakfast, you will depart with your guide to discover the sights of Luxor.

The Valley of the Kings

It became clear to the kings of the 18th Dynasty that the two previous methods did not prevent thieves from robbing the Pharaohs, so it was necessary to find another way to build their tombs in a secret place in the mountains, and so the Valley of the Kings was built.

The Temple of Hatshepsut

In all parts of the interior of the Temple of Hatshepsut there are wall paintings that have been carefully restored. The two chapels of the temple were dedicated to Hathor, Amun-Ra and Anubis and are also uncovered.

The Colossi of Memnon

Many years ago, the funerary temple of Amenhotep III and many fragments of two other statues of the pharaoh were discovered behind the Colossi of Memnon during excavations.

You will have lunch and continue your Egypt Christmas tour by exploring the most impressive temple in Egypt:

At the end of the day, we go to a 5-star hotel for the night.

The National Museum of Egyptian Civilisation

Some museum collections in Egypt were transferred to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilisation to house 50,000 of finds presented to Egypt during different reigns.

The Citadel of Saladin

Most believe that the Citadel of Cairo is Muhammad Ali's only because of his most famous mosque built in the Citadel. The Citadel includes four palaces, two of which were built during the reign of Muhammad Ali.

The Mosque of Muhammad Ali

The Mosque of Muhammad Ali is the largest building built in the first half of the 19th century. The mosque was built with some materials from the old buildings in the Citadel.

Khan El Khalili Bazaar

The history of the bazaar dates back to 1382, the period of the Mamluk Sultan Berkuk. At this date, it was built by the Amir of Sultan Berkuk, ‘Dyaharks el-Khalili’, on the ancient Fatimid cemetery.

At the end of the day, we go to your hotel for the night.
