Ancient Memphis Egypt

Egyptian Museum of Antiquities

Abu Simbel, the famous complex composed of two temples carved into the rock, one dedicated to Ramses II and another to Nefertari, his first wife, and his favorite. The most spectacular aspect of this temple is its location on the solid rock on the banks of the Nile River, between the first and second waterfalls. As impressive as Abu Simbel, he probably wouldn’t be as famous if it weren’t for his move to the Aswan Dam building.
