The unfinished obelisk of Queen Hatshepsut, the female pharaoh of Egypt, is located in the granite quarries in Aswan in Egypt, where the pharaohs quarried blocks for the construction of temples, statues, obelisks, and pyramids. The interest of the site, the granite quarries, focuses on the area of the gigantic block of stone in the quarry, the unfinished obelisk of Hatshepsut, cut on all sides but one, three of its faces are separated.

  • Philae Temple

Among the finds are the chambers of Tutankhamun, Seti I, and Ramses II. It even has an analog of the wives and relatives of the pharaohs, called the Valley of the Queens.

the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut The funerary temple of Queen Hatshepsut, known as Deir el Bahari, name meaning "monastery of the north" and designed by its architect in the royal court, Senenmut, is "the wonder of wonders" of ancient Egypt: it stands on the west bank of the Nile and is partially excavated in the mountain behind which lies the Valley of the Kings.

  • Colossi of Memnon

The Colossi of Memnon are twin statues representing Amenhotep III in a seated position. His hands rest on his knees and his gaze is directed towards the east, in the direction of the Nile River and the rising sun. The statues are carved in blocks of quartzite, brought especially from Giza and the quarries of Gebel el-Silsila, north of Aswan, including the stone bases.
