Egyptian Museum of Antiquities
you will continue your excursion with a visit to the Egyptian Museum, where there are antiques from the Pharaonic period. The museum exhibits a rare collection of 5000 years of art, considered to be the most valuable collection of Egyptian art in the world. More than 25,000 antiquities are on display, including an exhibition devoted to Tutankhamen’s Treasure, furniture and jewelry, kept in his tomb for more than 3,500 years before Howard Carter discovered them in 1922.
The Cairo Citadel
The second stage takes us to another part of the city, on the other side of the Nile, is the Citadel of Saladin (Salah El-Din).
Founded in 1176, it is a fortification in an elevated area of the city. Its & military& nature is still preserved since a large part of the area cannot be visited as it is dedicated to the army, but the historical part is open to the public and in addition to the fortifications and the priceless view of the city, here you can admire the great Mosque of Mohammed Ali, one of the symbols what you should see. Then Proceed to have your lunch at a local restaurant.
Lunch
At the end of the visit to the Citadel of Saladin, we will take a break and take the opportunity to eat and recharge. Lunch will be at a restaurant and Egyptian food (drinks not included).
Coptic Cairo
Then you will visit Coptic Cairo to visit the Hanging Church, Ben Ezra Synagogue, Church of St. Barbara, Church of Abu Serga.
Bazaar khan el khalili
After visiting the Egyptian Museum go see the beautiful Khan El-Khalili famous souq Cairo main market. Its always crowded with tourists and locals alike. It is the beating heart of the Egyptian metropolis. Lose yourself in the various bazaars where you will really find everything and buy some nice local handicrafts.
