Crystal Mountain" is the most famous mountain in the Western Desert, which is located inside the White Desert Reserve, 85 kilometers north of the Farafra Oasis, 115 kilometers from the Bahariya Oasis, which gained its fame for being considered one of the rarest mountains in the world, as it is a mountain full of different crystal ores, where there are It has more than 12 types of crystal types, gathered together in a huge mountain mass that was full of thousands of colored glass pieces that were surrounded by many narratives regarding their priceless material value, so that the most rumored thing about the crystal mountain was that it was the most expensive in the world for its economic value.

Also, Crystal Mountain is one of the magnificent stops for travelers through the oases of the western desert of Egypt. A small natural arch of rock and calcite crystal walls, it is a great place to take pictures. Geologists describe it as an exhumed cave, a cave complete with stalagmites and stalactites that has been pushed up by earth movement and over time has lost its roof due to erosion.

It is in the heart of the Farafra oasis in the white desert and contains many rocks that resemble a very valuable type of crystal.
However these rocks are not crystal but metamorphic limestone rocks.
