The city of Rosetta
The city of Rosetta was, until the 19th century, the largest port in Egypt. Of this lost wealth, it still preserves a group of unique patrician houses reminiscent of those: tall and relatively narrow houses by corbels and windows.

Military Museum
El Alamein Battle was one of the most important battles of this war. Your first stop in El Alamein, during the shore excursion from the port of Alexandria, will be at the Military Museum. Here you will see the weapons, military clothing, and tanks, descriptions of the actions of Montgomery, Rommel, and everyone who took part in the Battle of El Alamein. You will also visit the British, German and Italian cemeteries and Rommel’s headquarters. After your Rosetta museum visit, enjoy a walk in the famous street full of houses that dates back to the 18th century.

Where the famous Rosetta stone was discovered in 1799 by Bouchard, a lieutenant in the French army. This block of basalt was cleared during the fortification work carried out in order to face a possible British attack.

In Rosette, one has a panoramic view of the Nile which finally embraces the Mediterranean after its 6500 km long journey from Tanzania. Then Proceed to have your lunch at a local restaurant.

Lunch
After midday we will take a break and have lunch in a restaurant, to replenish our energy. The meal usually consists of Egyptian dishes and options that include dishes with meat, rice, and salads (drinks are not included)

After the tour, we will take you back to the hotel in Alexandria or Airport or Port.
