Pyramids of Giza

The pyramids of Giza are the only one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World still preserved today and therefore one of the most famous buildings in the world. The pyramids of Giza include the three main pyramids, the Pyramid of Cheops, the Pyramid of Chephren and the Pyramid of Mykerinus.

The queen Pyramids

some other smaller secondary pyramids, in which for example the women of the pharaohs were buried, as well as workers villages, temples, and cemeteries.

The Sphinx of Giza

The Sphinx Giza is the largest Egyptian sculpture. It was carved out of the limestone rock of the Giza Plateau and represents a lying lion with a human head and the so-called Nemes headscarf. Originally, the sphinx was painted with reddish ochre and also had a chin beard, but this fell off in ancient times.

Saqqara pyramid

We will Move to Saqqara, a pyramid complex that, like Giza, is part of the necropolis of Memphis. There we will see one of the first pyramids built, which served as a model for all those that were built later.

Lunch

At the end of the visit to Giza pyramids, we will take a break and take the opportunity to eat and recharge. Lunch will be at a restaurant and Egyptian food (drinks not included).

Ancient Memphis Egypt

After Saqqara, we will undertake the last part of our excursion. We will head to Memphis, capital of the Old Empire between 3100 and 2040 BC, and the coronation site of all the pharaohs of the Empire.
According to tradition, Memphis was founded by Narmer, considered the first pharaoh. The city is located in the Nile Delta, right between Upper and Lower Egypt, the two regions into which the country was divided.

Finally, spend the night at the hotel.

Day 3Fly from Cairo to Luxor

After breakfast, you’ll check out from the hotel in the morning and then transfer to Cairo Airport for your flight to Luxor

  • Valley of the Kings

The Valley of the Kings is located in the city of Luxor, on the West of the Nile River. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
This large necropolis, near Luxor, contains more than 60 tombs of pharaohs and nobles of the New Kingdom, one of the most prosperous periods in the history of ancient Egypt.

  • Colossi of Memnon

The Colossi of Memnon are twin statues representing Amenhotep III in a seated position. His hands rest on his knees and his gaze is directed towards the east, in the direction of the Nile River and the rising sun. The statues are carved in blocks of quartzite, brought especially from Giza and the quarries of Gebel el-Silsila, north of Aswan, including the stone bases.

  • Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut

the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut The funerary temple of Queen Hatshepsut, known as Deir el Bahari, name meaning "monastery of the north" and designed by its architect in the royal court, Senenmut, is "the wonder of wonders" of ancient Egypt: it stands on the west bank of the Nile and is partially excavated in the mountain behind which lies the Valley of the Kings.

  • Lunch Time

Have lunch in one of the distinguished restaurants with an authentic Egyptian taste and enjoy the food.

  • Karnak Temple

The oldest structures at Karnak come from the Middle Empire: the white chapel of Sesostris I (1965-1920 BC), reconstructed in the open-air museum, and the foundations of what was the most sacred part of the 12th dynasty temple of Amun in the sanctuary of the sacred boat and the Courtyard of the Middle Empire (behind the sixth pylon).
